How can you learn an idiom with 10 words a day?
The artist Paolo Angelosanto invited the participants of the Unidee residence to tell him the first ten words they learned in Italian during the first ten days they spent at Cittadellarte.
These foreign words, learned in order to communicate with others in everyday life, become expressive gestures that manifest the differences between the people who utter them.
The words become:
symbols of personal and cultural differences
representations of different worlds and experiences,
symptom and volition of meeting and exchange.
Different words, in a different language, become a central element in the interpretation of reality in an intercultural dialogue.
