The one day - seminar brought together five young people coming from artistic
studies and design institutes.
The participants have been invited to get into the game...
After working on the concept of identity, encounter and working groups,
the participants have been asked to reflect about two projects carried out
by Love Difference at the moment: Love
Difference Pastries and Love
Difference Mediterranean Tour.
The group decided to create a tie between those two ideas: a trip with the
Love Difference boat covering a hypothetical route from Athens, Patras,
Istanbul to Beirut and the creation of Love Difference Pastries in Urbino,
Marseille and Rome (Centocelle neighbourhood), places where to serve the
halva flavoured ice-cream created after an idea of Michelangelo Pistoletto.
These places will become creative centres where artists and artisans will
collaborate to create recipes.
The aim of this project is to create relations with other pastries in the
Mediterranean area, activating an exchange of recipes and ideas from various
and different places.
These pastries will provide each month the possibility to participate in
the creation of “sweet as a cultural passport” with the aim
of recognizing diversity through gastronomic experiences.
A video will document the gastronomic and cultural exchange experienced
during the trip. A box in each place of distribution will gather the questionnaires
reporting the sensations of who tasted the sweets.
