Meetings around the Mediterranean Table
The "Love Difference" project activates an InterMediterranean
net of cooperation among institutions, architects, writers and searchers
from every country of the area: it promotes their mobility and it activates
a program of cooperation in every country, aiming at developing projects
and actions in which creativity builds new perspectives for the entire
          society.
Mirror of the differences, the "Love Difference Table" with
the shape of the Mediterranean Sea, a Michelangelo Pistoletto’s
work, makes the idea of open and horizontal project concrete, inviting
different people to talk and to compare themselves. Every individual
from the public becomes an active part in the definition of the project.

Showing in the Teatro delle Briciole, inside the Parco Ducale, the Love
Difference table by Michelangelo Pistoletto ( made from mirror and wood,
surrounded by chairs from the different countries of the Mediterranean
) was the meeting point for young artists.
At the meeting "In-vocazioni. Incontro sulle vocazioni" ("In-vocation.
Meeting about vocations") with Michelangelo Pistoletto, the artist
explains also why he chose the Mediterranean Sea as symbol for Love
          Difference:
"We see the Mediterranean as being the far south of Europe, the
far north of Africa, the far west of Asia and now we can also say, the
far east of the United States of America. We have this sea that it is
out with all the centres, but becomes the centre of problems: this Mediterranean
is highly representative of all cultures, the wonders of the cultures
of civilisations, and the more violent contrasts that lead us to think
and point out the current reasons for these contrasts."
