Turin, from November 2005

Michelangelo Pistoletto presents his work "Love Difference" at the 2005 edition of Luci d'Artista in Turin.
Luci d'Artista (Artist’s Lights) is a well known contemporary art event, which every year re-invents the city’s streets enlightening them with impressive installations, works created by international artists such as Mario Airò, Enrica Borghi, Daniel Buren, Francesco Casorati, Nicola De Maria, Richi Ferrer, Carmelo Giammello, Jeppe Hein, Rebecca Horn, Joseph Kosuth, Luigi Mainolfi, Mario Merz, Mario Molinari, Mimmo Paladino, Domenico Luca Pannoli, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jan Vercruysse e Gilberto Zorio.
The event renews itself by finding a new place for the works of art, that are already known, and by selecting new masterpieces. The news for this 2005/2006 edition is Michelangelo Pistoletto’s "Love Difference". Pistoletto, artist and creator of Love Difference, creates a series of lights with the words Love Difference written in 39 different languages of the Mediterranean area; these work will enlighten the front wall of Porta Palazzo Market, a place representing for Turin a mix of tradition and innovation, a cross-road of migrations and exchanges, where differences show up their potential richness.
