At “Tocatì”, Verona
Game Festival, 22-24 September, Cittadellarte with the “Art
at the Centre 2006” projects and Love Difference with the Table-Football
by Diego Paccagnella, made in collaboration with FA.BI srl
Love Difference participates to the fourth
edition of the Game Festival in Verona, 22-24 September 2006. In the
historical center of the city, for three days cars disappear, giving
room to games: this is the Tocatì (your turn), international
festival of road-games. This year the festival hosts 50 different
road-games; special guest will be Spain.
Love Difference and Cittadellarte will be present at the Tocatì
with an interactive point, in representation of what is exposed until
November 12 in Cittadellarte for the yearly exhibition Art at
the Centre, which this year is dedicated to the game: projects
using the game like an instrument for analysis, communication and
participation in several fields of the social sphere. In Verona there
will be the “Calcetto Love Difference” (Love Difference
Table-Football), by artist Diego Paccagnella, made in collaboration
with FA.BI srl, in which the traditional calcetto becomes
a metaphor for the game of exchanges and relations between the countries
facing the Mediterranean; “Europoly”, by Serbian artist
Dejan Kaludgerovic, turning the game of Monopoly into an installation,
in which we face the real difficulties of migrants aiming to obtain
European citizenship; “Bocciami”, by Beatrice Catanzaro
in collaboration with Michele Fontana, a project showing how the game
of bocce in Milan becomes an occasion for discussing issues
            such as urban spaces.
Michelangelo Pistoletto brings in Verona his game-installations: “Ping-Pong
            - Segno Arte” and “Carta-pista” (“Paper-track”),
a huge track for marbles in the shape of the Third Paradise symbol:
an ideal and foretold place, in which Artifice and Nature are united,
in a relationship of mutual respect. Michelangelo Pistoletto will
take part in the congress at Chiostro di San Giorgio in Braida (Verona,
22 September, at 11,30 a.m.), where organizers and hosts of the Verona
festival will discuss the role of art and game in the contemporary
            society.
