DE.MO.: a call to support Design and Mobility. Deadline for applications: 22 May
DE.MO (Design and Mobility) is the project within Movin'up 2009 call, to support the mobility of young artists and designers, set up in Italy by GAI, Young Artists Association, with the support of the Presidency of thr Ministers and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
This is a call for competition aimed at young creative people between 18 and 35 years of age, who have been invited by cultural institutions, festivals, public and private competitions, seminars, workshops, internships, and similars, or who are producing an artistic project to be implemented within an artistic center or institution abroad. Involved artistic fields are: visual arts, architecture, design, music, cinema, video, theater, dance, performance, writing.
Movin'up targets both to artists and young curators.
The initiative, created through the awarding of funds disbursed in two annual sessions, enables artists to apply for a partial contribution to cover the costs of travel, maintenance and the artistic production. Applications must be submitted by 22 May 2009 (applications for projects starting from 1 July to 31 December 2009).
