Creativity, society and territory: reflections on contemporaneity in Southern Italy. SoutHeritage Foundation launched the project "The List"
SoutHeritage Foundation for Contemporary Art, based in Matera (Italy), within the framework of a series of initiatives aimed at the exploitation of contemporary art, launched the Web-based project "The List", through the section Lab. 12:00 - platform for reflection and discussion on contemporary cultural practices in South Italy. The project, published during the Fourth Contemporary Day promoted by AMACI, was developed in the thin-tank “New practices”, through which the Foundation promotes its creative and aesthetic projects.
Through the initiative “The List”, SoutHeritage wants to foster a reflection and contribute to forming a theoretical framework on the merits and problems of contemporaneity in Southern Italy through the concept of "list" as a medium. The list approaches in a multidisciplinary perspective the role of contemporaneity in the South of Italy through the invitation of critics, public administrators, managers of institutions, gallery and company consultants for artistic initiatives. Coordinated by Roberto Martino and engaged in different research areas, the protagonists of the "list" are asked to present their vision on contemporaneity in Southern Italy through texts, aphorisms, reflections, quotes, interviews.
