Jana International Film Festival for Children & Youth (Lebanon): Youth on the Margin Create Films. Deadline for applications: July 15 2006
Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts/ AL-JANA, is a registered, non-profit Lebanese NGO involved in the promotion of active learning and creative expression, and works with low income communities in Lebanon.
Jana International Film Festival for Children & Youth will be held in Beirut, Madina Theatre in November 2006. The 2006 youth film festival displays films made with or by youth under 22 years of age. Jana International film festival for children & youth invites works by children & young adults from around the world, whose works are about or for children and youth. Preference will be given to films made by youth themselves, or with their active participation.
The festival will be hosting workshops on animation films techniques, as learning and creative expression tools for children. These hands-on workshops are intended for children living in communities of limited income. Exchange programs scheduled.
The festival will open with a photo voice exhibition, photos by West Sahrawi Refugee children.
Deadline for applications: July 15 2006.
