Bosnia - Herzegovina: the reconstruction of the multicultural cities. International Seminar: Portogruaro, 23-24 March 2006
The University of Portogruaro will host on the 23-24 of March the International Seminar on Bosnia - Herzegovina: the reconstruction of the multicultural cities, organised by Portogruaro Campus and Jacques Maritain International Institute - Study and Research Centre, within the project "Devided Cities: place of experimentation of innovative activities in the field of promotion of social, economic and cultural rights ". In the first day of the seminar, the discussion will start from the presentation of the book by Gian Matteo Apuzzo "Devided Cities. Citizenship and the Balkans between nationalism and cosmopolitism" (Infinito Edizioni, Rome), and will develop with a debate on the issues of the city and the public space, educational policies, and the economic regions, concluding with the case study of the city of Tuzla. On the 24th the debate will focus on conflict, cohabitation and reconstruction, concentrating on psychological and psychiatric implications of the conflict in Bosnia - Herzegovina. Historians, journalists, scholars, doctors and representatives from Italian and Bosnian institutions will take part in the debate.
