29 October 205, closing workshop for “Unidee in residence – International program 2005”: projects in collaboration with Love Difference to be presented
Unidee – University of Ideas will close its seventh edition on the 31st of October.
UNIDEE in Residence is an international residence program open to students and graduates of various university faculties, to artists and to professionals from any country in the world.
The opportunity for the residents comes from the meeting and confrontation of cultures and different fields of work (from architecture to economics, visual arts to music, literature to design) that helps them develop individual or collective projects that take on social problems and that are targeted toward responsible social transformation. Aided by the collaboration of various institutions and the citizens of Biella, and through meetings specifically dedicated to working methodologies, the participants are guided in the development of their projects, from conception to realisation, to then be capable of transferring these methods to their own countries to implement new processes of social change.
On Saturday the 29th of October from the afternoon onwards, this year’s residents will be presenting the things they’ve been working on over their four months in Biella: video, dance and theatre performances, research into the territory, socially proactive projects.
Love Difference has collaborated also this year in various projects: "Democratic Promotion in the Euro-Mediterranean area and use of the public space", a study and a workshop by the researcher Enza Reina; "Open Dialogue", a survey on relations starting from the practice of dance, by dancer and choreographer Said Ait El Moumen; "Europoly", a project by the artist Dejan Kaludjerovic; video memory a project for Sarajevo by the artist Aziz Ceho, in collaboration with Ars Aevi; "Sweet dreams", a project by the artist Gayle Chong Kwan in collaboration with the Love Difference group of Biella.
