Art City Society - New perspectives and visions for Venice: the program of Love Difference’s workshop at the 51st Venice Biennale
As announced on LDN#16, Love Difference will organise in collaboration with Venice International University a workshop focused on the Venetian area. It will be held by Filippo Fabbrica and Juan E. Sandoval, involving an inter-disciplinary group for the drafting of projects of responsible social transformation in the Venetian area. Through shared researching, artists and institutions will call out different points of view over the Venetian territory, aiming at drawing projects for the enhancing of the contexts of culture, environment, and production. The workshop will last 12 days, developing the sharing of different abilities; core of the activity will be an inter-disciplinary group of people, based in Venice, able to operate through artistic projects, towards a responsible social transformation on a local base, in collaboration with Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto, Love Difference, and other partners in the Venetian area. The workshop is open to 15 participants and it is intended for people from the area, interested in issues such as environment, inter-cultural dialogue, sociology, anthropology, urban setting, economy, social politics, intending to work in a team together with artists and young creators. Meetings with students from Venetian Universities are planned to present the workshop’s activities and to integrate students’ vision within the project activity. VIU, Venice International University on San Servolo island will host the workshop on the 18-22 of July, 5-9 and 28-30 of September. Open day on the 30th of September.
