Humanity Photo Awards on Folklore Cultures. Deadline for submissions: 15 April 2011
Contest Aiming to record the world's folklore cultures, the Humanity Photo Awards (HPA) 2011, organized by the China Folklore Photographic Association (CFPA) and UNESCO, invites worldwide participation in the 2011 edition. Since 1998, CFPA has started the international competition Humanity Photo Awards, supported from 2000 by Unesco, with the aim of calling upon photographers all over the world to record and preserve the heritage of folk culture.
The Humanity Photo Awards has fully made its advantages on the entry point of folklore, humanities and sociology, providing photographers all over the world a field to record the cultural heritage of mankind by photography, with series of photos, and it set a good system of cultural heritage research samples. Cameramen from 108 countries in the world participated in this activity: their series of photos have recorded the colourful and various cultures from more than half number of countries in the whole world.
Entries for 2011 edition of the Humanity Photo Awards can only be submitted on-line. Deadline for submissions: 15 April 2011.
