IDA – Isola dell’Arte, a cultural association based in the Milanese quarter Isola, twenty years after the French philosopher’s death presents “Foucault at Stecca degli Artigiani”, thursday the 25th November, 7 p.m. The homage to Foucault is linked to the research within the relationship space-power, which IDA – Isola dell’Arte has been carrying out through public conferences, art performances, and other forms of collaboration with the quarter and local associations. The collaboration aims to protect the artistic location of Stecca degli Artigiani. Michel Foucault has been the first one to look at different forms of space and personal control, as they have been carried out through means of surveillance, exclusion, and inclusion. Clinics, prisons, museums, libraries, schools, are appointed locations for the surveillance of citizens by the power. The Stecca art centre will host a meeting, featuring Marco Alati (psychologist), Emanuela de Cecco (art critic), Thomas Hirschhorn (artist), Enzo Umbaca (artist, in collabotation with Adriano Sofri), Tiziana Villani (philosopher). Moderator: Marco Scotini (art critic and independent curator) . www.undo.net |
