Cyprus:
            art rebuilding society. A round table to put creativity in relation
            with the issues of one of the hottest area of the Mediterranean. February
            25, 2006 at Cittadellarte 
             Within GOING PUBLIC 2006, Love Difference
            in collaboration with aMAZE - Cultural lab (Milan) organizes a round
            table on Cyprus: its human and territorial culture, geographies, social
            issues, the green line, the wall in the city of Nicosia, the activity
            of cooperation between the artistic communities in the North and the
            South of the island, and the forthcoming events, such as Manifesta
            2006. The Cyprus case is very complex: it is not a case, therefore,
            than it has been chosen to host the sixth edition of Manifesta (www.manifesta.org).
            Manifesta, a biennial of young contemporary artists, represents one
            of the most important initiatives in the field of contemporary art,
            as an answer to political and social changes. On Saturday 25th of
            February at Cittadellarte, in occasion of the third Assembly of Love
            Difference Members, a round table will open in order to discuss the
            role that creativity can play in the political and social scene of
            Cyprus. Speakers will be: Michelangelo Pistoletto, artist and artistic
            director of Cittadellarte, a foundation working to inspire and produce
            a responsible change of the society through ideas creative projects;
            Claudia Zanfi, artistic director of aMAZelab, author of Going Public,
            a project of public and social art; Socrates Stratis, architect and
            urbanist from Nicosia (Cyprus), who will testimony of his search on
            the topic of the transformation of the territory; Sophia Karamani,
            art critic from Cyprus, member of the art group Social Gym, author
            of creative projects intended for a responsible change of the social
            sphere; H. Meyric Hughes, President of Manifesta, who will introduce
            to the public of Cittadellarte the Cypriot edition of Manifesta. The
            round table will begin at 5 p.m., open to the public. For further
