Which is your vision of contemporary Algeria and how you would express it through the video?
Is it possible to produce images of the Country, which are independent from the media? Few images come to the public from Algeria and generally those have tendencies to stigmatize the political and social situation. Katia Kameli, a video-artist of French-Algerine origins, is among the speakers at the workshop organized in Algiers from March 10 to April 10 2006, whose objective is to generate a network of algeriens having different competences, who are interested in the subject, and to introduce them in the various audio-visual techniques. Love Difference collaborates with Kameli in Bledi project. The workshop is intended for Fine Arts students, Political Sciences and Information students, and young professionals, in order to gather a heterogeneous group of participants and to support an exchange of informations and visions. The workshop will end in the realization of video projects intended to be published on DVD and to be diffused within the framework of artistic events in Algiers and in Europe.The interested participants will have to propose a synopsis of project of about fifteen lines before February 20, 2006 to Katia Kameli.
