The Mediterraneans - Love Difference Chairs at Galleria 27SD: Bergamo, 1 December 2009 – 16 January 2010
The Love Difference Chairs, a project by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Juan E. Sandoval for Alias with Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto have transformed the Laleggera chair into the boundary zone between land and sea, between art and design. The chairs are aligned around the geographical profile of the Mediterranean and divided by the line of the coast. They absorb the colours of both the water and the land.
The preview of the chairs took place at the Triennale of Milan in April 2009 and they have been shown at the showroom BMS Etiler during the IDW - Istanbul Design Weekend in June 2009, at the Design Festival Lodz (Poland) in October 2009 and at "La forma dei sogni (The shape of dreams)" in Milan in October 2009, in Innsbruck and Paris in November 2009.
Now from the 2nd of December 2009 until the 16th of January 2010, the Love Difference Chairs are going to be displayed at Galleria 27AD in Bergamo (Italy). Opening: 1 December 2009.
