Right to the heart: Emergency in Vercelli. Pinocchio at Cittadellarte’s bookshop. From January 31st 2009
"Sudan, Right to the heart" is the title of the photo exhibition to be inaugurated in Vercelli, auditorium Santa Chiara, on Saturday, January 31st, 2009 at 6 p.m. The exhibition, which received the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is composed of fifty striking images by Marcello Bonfanti, Milanese photographer who interpreted with his eye Emergency’s humanitarian efforts in Sudan. The shots by Marcello Bonfanti accompany the visitor in a long journey to discover the daily life in the refugee camp of Mayo, in the suburbs of Khartoum, and in the Salam Center for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum, a year and a half after its inauguration. Speaker at the opening Dr. Enrico Donegani, who has worked as a doctor at Salam Center The exhibition will be open until the 8th of February.
Cittadellarte’s Bookshop will host events and meetings, starting on Saturday the 31st of January with "Pinocchio and the wood": five workshops for children aged 6 to 11 years to rediscover the adventures of Pinocchio and the wonderful world of wooden toys: artistic reading of Pinocchio’s adventures, plays and games with professionals, and a snack for all. From Saturday January 31st to Saturday February 28th, at the same time of the series of introductory meetings on Montessori’s method organized by Associazionedidee.
