Love Difference Pastries at the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage, Ile de Vassivière, from Saturday July 4th
Opening event of the “Patisserie Love Difference, Michelangelo Pistoletto & Love Difference” at the “Café de l'île” within the “International Centre for Art and Landscape” in Île de Vassivière, France.
From the 4th of July until the 25th of October the French Art Center has invited Love Difference to present the Mediterranean Cultural Parliament (>>>) and the Love Difference Pastries project (>>>).
For this occasion the “Mediterranean Carpets”, conceived by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Love Difference, designed by Aliaa El Gready from the association “Gudran Art and Development” in Alexandria of Egypt and made by the craftsmen of “El Max", a fishermen village in Alexandria, are going to be exhibited in the Café of the centre, designed by Aldo Rossi, which lies in the centre of an island surrounded by an artificial lake. These hand-made carpets, which combine different handicraft techniques, are the moving symbol of the Cultural Parliament and therefore the meeting place for the different activities that are being held within the Parliament.
Moreover at the “Café de l’île” there will be sweets from the Love Difference Pastries Project, such as “Le fruit de l'amour” by Maha El Madi and Said Ait El Moumen, “Love Difference Ice Cream” by Michelangelo Pistoletto, “Love in a different kefte” by Maria Nymfiadi and Lea Petrou and “SaltySweet” by Franco. Besides, during the following weeks pastry chefs from the area will be involved in interpreting these sweets as well as creating new ones.
The “Café de l'île Love Difference” opens every day from the 5th of July until the 25th of October from 12.00 pm until 8.00 pm.
