Project by Love Difference in collaboration with E. Borghi, A. Boffa, D. Longoni, E.Torri, S. Pinna
The project is the first commitment that the movement has taken on educational level.
In spring 2003 Michelangelo Pistoletto met students of the High Schools of Novara and Romagnano Sesia, presenting the intention of Love Difference to reinforce the meeting of different cultures through art.
In the first phase of the workshop the kids responded to this reflexion working on the theme of identity, trying to understand the possibilities of ways of meeting.
The commitment of the young people led to the realization of a publication, entitled “Identità Love Difference”, in which every single page is consisting of a series of graphics on the theme of identity, produced by the school kids, and one can also find a section dedicated to “sings of art” realized by the youngsters.
Furthermore, the workshop has been presented at the exhibition Cittadellarte & by the means of an installation Love Difference, creating the space for a performance that involved people coming from all the different parts of the world.
The educative intent and the reflexion on identity of Love Difference is going on in 2004 through the will to propose to school kids a reflexion on the various cultures and through how creativity could help them in their ways of meeting.
