Ars Aevi
The aim of ars aevi is to create a multicultural international centre
and a museum of contemporary art in Sarajevo, a city where for centuries
east and west have met in an atmosphere of reciprocal respect and love.
In the cultural environment of Sarajevo and its international orientation,
the Ars Aevi centre and museum will be a permanent and tangible symbol of
hope as opposed to separation, the hope that differences can stimulate us
to find beauty and value in diversity. The Ars Aevi museum will be a centre
where international cultures can talk, meet and exchange ideas. It is an
important project for the present and future of Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina,
South-eastern Europe and beyond.
