Public Interference: a platform for exchange
between artistic and curatorial practices in public spaces; on show
the project Passatempo by the Love Difference Group of Isola dell'Arte.
Cisano (Italy), July 5 to August 3, 2008
The exhibition "Public interference" by OsservatorioinOpera
and Elvira Vannini is hosted within Progettoutopia, the event organised
by Cavellini Archives at Palazzo Cominelli in Cisano - San Felice
on Lake Garda (Italy): a documentary exhibition of some independent
associations and a series of artistic interventions in external locations
in town. Four spaces on the first floor of Cominelli Foundation will
be set up to display different ways and means of artistic practices,
expressing an outspoken attention to processes of social change. Each
of the four associative and curatorial groups (Isola Art Center [read
about the Passatempo project], Crac, Darth, Cluster Archive Project)
works with a different operating process, in relation to their own
intent and context.
In addition to the documentary show, the exhibition will present a
series of external events and site-specific projects that will happen
in two stages throughout the course of the event: a continuous work
in progress trying to involve the people of Cisano in various forms
of cooperation, to reflect on the practice of public art. The exhibition
will be open until August 3.
