The XIII Edition of the Biennial of young
artist from Europe and the Mediterranean. Bari, 22-31 May 2008
The Biennial, today considered the most important Mediterranean
and European display of young creativity, is a deeply multidisciplinary
manifestation that proposes creations going from music to visual arts,
from cinema to dance and threatre, from applied arts to literature
up to gastronomy: a multiform vision that helps the mutual contaminations
among artists and always has a sweeping impact on the city that host
it as well as on the audience.
This time will be Bari, with its charm of a ancient city and its happy
progression into future, true European door towards Middle East and
Balkans, that will host 700 artists, from 18 to 30 years old, coming
from 48 different European and Mediterranean countries, whose works
will liven up the Fiera del Levante of Bari, by giving life to a creativity
village, melting pot of different contemporary art forms. The theme
for the XIII Edition of The Biennial 2008 is: "Our Creative Diversity:
kairos" (Greek word pronounced keeros, meaning fit time, opportunity,
a point in time where change is possible).
The XIII Edition of the Biennial of young artist from Europe and the
Mediterranean will be held from 22nd to 31st May 2008. Exhibitions
will be open until the 30th of June.
