Cittadellarte Pistoletto and the Third Paradise at CAMeC – Modern and Contemporary Art Centre at La Spezia, 9th December 2007 - 24th March 2008
CAMeC – Modern and Contemporary Art Centre of La Spezia (Italy) is opening an exhibition on Cittadellarte and Michelangelo Pistoletto, curated by Bruno Corà. On show, the ten “Uffizi” (offices) of Cittadellarte, conveying a message of responsible social transformation.
The underlying theme of the exhibition, announced in September at the Festival of the Mind in Sarzana, is the mission of Cittadellarte: “to inspire and produce responsible change in society through ideas and creative projects”.
The exhibition aims to recreate a little Cittadellarte in the halls of the CAMeC, through an original and interactive set-up representing its Uffizi, complete with works by Michelangelo Pistoletto. Cittadellarte projects on display include UNIDEE-University of Ideas, Love Difference, Cubes in Motion, Turning Point Products.
Among the events linked to the exhibition, the presentation of the book “The Third Paradise. Spirituality, science of art”, by Michelangelo Pistoletto and the event “Love Difference Ice-cream and sweets as cultural passports” (22-24 February 2008).
The exhibition will be open to the public from the 9th of December until the 24th of March 2008 on the 8th of December.
