Local networks and global development: a symposium to share ideas on digital districts. Biella, Italy, 15-17 March 2007
The symposium “Local networks and global development”, organised by the Province of Biella, Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto and the City of Biella will offer three days of meetings at Città Studi (University of Biella) on 15-16 of March and at Cittadellarte on the 17th.
The symposium aims to put together communities, experts and policymakers to activate a permanent network fostering technologies, models and methods of endogenous development, based on the interconnection of digital districts.
On Saturday 17 of March Cittadellarte will host a meeting on social networks, social policies and ethical technologies, with a number of speakers and a round-table with, among the others: People Science Movement, Free Software Foundation India, Politecnico of Turin, Wikipedia, the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, Hipatia and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto.
On March 12-23 Cittadellarte will also host Reshape/Reshare: workshops, educational and project sessions, with free music and video every night around the Mediterranean Table “Love Difference” at Cittadellarte’s open lounge.
