will be open until the 3rd of December; Tal will be present on November
17th - 19th. The film "All that remains" by I'lam center,
and music by Yair Dallal will participate at the show. Curators of
the exhibition are Ilja Sundelevitsh and Reet Varblane.
The Unrecognized project, developed by Tal in collaboration
with Love Difference, was born in 2003 when Bedouin fields in the
Negev (Israel) had been sprayed with a toxic substance from the air,
in a State-sponsored act. Tal Adler started to look into the matter
and came face to face with the issue of the unrecognized villages
and their inhabitants. Aware of the importance of public opinion in
political processes, Tal Adler decided to start this project to trigger
a social change. Trought a clever use of artistic media, educational
and social tools, Unrecognized brings the story of the unrecognized
Bedouin settlements to the attention of wider audiences forcing the
political stakeholders to face the problem of unrecognised settlements
and the issues it raises.
The official website of Unrecognized will be launched soon;
meanwhile, PDF versions of the catalogues are available for free download
from
the artist's website.
