INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE ADRIATIC REGION: a contribution to European integration The European Council called at Termoli on the 8th and 9th of November representatives from the six Countries facing the Adriatic sea: Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania. Aim of the meeting is the constitution of the Adriatic Euro-region, a super-national association to promote cooperation and integration in a way which is faster than the usual UE steps. The Euro-region will be first coordinated by Istria President Iakovicic and will work through an Adriatic Council (with representatives also from NGOs) and five Commissions: transport-infrastructures, tourism-culture, environment, fishing, agriculture. www.osservatoriobalcani.org UNA CONFERENZA PER LA NASCITA DELL’EURO-REGIONE ADRIATICA.
