Unidee in progress with the partecipation of Hans Ulrich Obrist and Roberto Pinto: sat. 30th october launch of Love Difference Tour.
Saturday, October 30th, 1 p.m. at Cittadellarte Resident artists at Unidee 2004 will be presented with their projects, with the participation of Hans Ulrich Obrist, Musèe d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris e Roberto Pinto, indipendent curator. On that occasion activities linked to "Love Difference Tour" will be introduced. The boat, carrier of the spirit of “Love Difference”, becomes mobile office from which artistic actions, didactic workshops and cultural events arise, during the navigation and the stops in the ports.
In each port actions and interventions of artists will be taking place, which will give shape to the idea of “Love Difference”. The boat, from time to time, will be loaded up with the materials of these interventions and will become an artistic and intercultural archive. In the ports there will be organized parties and events for the inhabitants of the seaside cities.
People specialized in the topic of interculturality – such as sociologists, anthropologists and local politicians – will be invited to travel together with the boat crew, to collect their experiences through interviews.
Projects by Unidee Residents hosted on th boat will be: project by Tara Beall, USA, considering long distance relationships that often link immigrants and "people on the move" to people living far away from them, and the role of the phone in those relations; the project by Walid Moue’d, Palestine, will focus on fishermen's dresses in the Mediterranean, as a symbol of their link with the sea; Pratul Kumar Dash, India, will consider local calendars in their function of cultural indicators; the exchange of the calendars will be part of the project.

Sabato 30 ottobre alle ore 13 verranno presentati a Cittadellarte i progetti degli artisti e dei ricercatori di Unidee - Università delle Idee 2004, con la partecipazione di Hans Ulrich Obrist, Musèe d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris e Roberto Pinto, curatore indipendente. In questa occasione saranno presentati i progetti artistici e le diverse attività legate al "Love Difference Tour".
Con "Love Difference Tour", il mare stesso – simbolo forte del movimento Love Difference – La barca, portatrice del pensiero “Love Difference”, diventa ufficio mobile da qui scaturiscono azioni artistiche, laboratori didattici ed eventi culturali, lungo la navigazione e durante le soste nei porti.
In ogni porto saranno effettuate azioni ed interventi d'artisti, che daranno forma all'idea di “Love Difference”. La barca di volta in volta sarà arrichita con i materiali di questi interventi e diventerà un archivio artistico e interculturale. Nei porti saranno organizzate feste e manifestazioni per gli abitanti delle città di mare.
Saranno invitate a viaggiare insieme all'equipaggio, da un porto all'altro, persone specializzate sul tema dell'interculturalità, come sociologi, antropologi e politici locali, per raccolgliere attraverso interviste le loro esperienze.
I progetti dei residenti Unidee ad essere ospitati sulla barca saranno quello di Tara Beall, USA, legato alle relazioni a lunga distanza intrattenute dagli emigranti e dalle persone in viaggio, e al ruolo del telefono nell’evolversi di queste relazioni; il progetto di Walid Moue’d, Palestina, si concentrerà sugli abiti dei pescatori del Mediterraneo come simbolo del legame con il mare; Pratul Kumar Dash, India, svilupperà il concetto di calendario locale come elemento rappresentativo delle culture del Mediterraneo, e lo scambio dei calendari stessi sarà parte integrante del progetto.
