To Love Difference Pastries the "Calamaio Award"
The Foundation Guglielmo Marconi rewards Cittadellarte for its project Love Difference, which through its Love Difference Pastries project creates innovative languages of communication.
" A prestigious distinction for communicators of our time...". This is the slogan that runs along side the Città di Sasso Marconi Award, which acknowledges each year the merits of journalist and communicators chosen by a jury of communication operators and professionals coordinated by Prof. Roberto Grandi of the University of Bologna.
Motivation: Founded in Biella by Michelangelo Pistoletto the "Cittadellarte" has experienced and consolidated several communicative and creative ways (artistic exhibitions, international workshops, formation, gadget creation) putting special attention on the dialogue between cultures within the Mediterranean Area. The efficiency of the group’s actions have originated the creation of "Love Difference – Artistic Movement for an InterMediterranean Politic", that develops numerous and important expressions. The last creation of Love Difference is the Love Difference Pastries project with artists and chefs coming from different parts of the Mediterranean such as Egypt, Israel, Morocco, Cyprus, Greece, Jordan or Turkey creating inedited recipes capable of representing the encounter and dialogue between different cultures.
Other winners of this year are also the journalists Milena Gabanelli (Report – Rai 3), Sihem Benzedrine and the radio show of Rai-Radiodue Caterpillar.
Love Difference shares this award with every participant of the Pastries project and thanks Pistoletto and Cittadellarte for their important contribute while developing this project.

A Love Difference Pastries workshop in Ameno on Sunday June 29th
Asilo Bianco, one of the associations that works together with Love Difference in the Love Difference Pastries project invites you to Studi Aperti (Open Studies), that will take place in Ameno (a village on the Maggiore Lake) on June 28th and 29th, from 11 am to 8 pm.
This year the event hosts 22 artists who will turn the village into a place for meeting ideas, people and artworks. Artists, writers, musicians, dancers and architects will liven up this weekend, sharing with the public their ideas and passions.
You are all invited to interact with the artists within the open laboratories during these two days.
Special guests are Love Difference and the "Mediterranean Table" by Michelangelo Pistoletto.
The program is going to be as follows:
On Saturday Francesco Brugnetta is going to work with the help of the public on his new "Opera - Tipo". At 7.30 pm the half-sopran Beate Ilg will sing in front of a glass of wine accompanied by Elisa Triulzi at the piano.
On Sunday 29th, at 4 pm Love Difference invites Andrea Lupi and Ruggero Poi from "associazionedidee" to carry out a workshopon Mediterranean cooking for children and adults.
At 6 pm a meeting around the "Mediterranean Table" is programmed in order to present the Love Difference Pastries project. Ideas will flow meanwhile tasting sweets coming from the Mediterranean Sea region.
At 7 pm the Company L et S from Paris will perform three short dancing shows.
Moreover will be activated a Youth Space, a Photography Space, video projections, a mini van for printing photos, Francesca Genti is going to present her last book by reading tarot cards and many, many more things.
